Start by reconciling observed charge components. Then use comparable groups to explore price and shipment-mix effects. These browser tools explain your inputs; they do not obtain carrier pricing.
1. Separate the charge components
Enter two periods of shipment counts and invoiced charge totals. The result shows both total spend and cost per shipment. Prefilled figures are synthetic.

This is an arithmetic bridge of observed charges. It does not assign a causal effect to dimensions, class, weight or distance. Include the same charge categories in both periods.
2. Hold the shipment mix constant
Use two comparable lane groups to separate price and mix changes. This illustration assumes both later prices are known and comparable. It is not a proprietary MyMGN calculation.
Fixed-mix average = sum of earlier group shares × later group prices. Mix effect uses later prices. Results depend on grouping, the chosen reference period and comparable coverage. Read the full methodology.
